4. Venue Services and Eligibility
Acean Dashgrill operates as a premium restaurant and supper club, offering modern Australian dining, a curated beverage list, private dining experiences, and scheduled in-person poker-themed evenings as part of our entertainment programme.
Key aspects of our services include:
- late-night dining, cocktails, and wine service in a premium Australian restaurant environment;
- group restaurant bookings for social and corporate occasions;
- private dining rooms and function spaces for corporate dinners, client entertainment, birthdays, hens and bucks events presented tastefully, team socials, and full venue hire; and
- curated, in-venue poker nights and poker-themed private functions, hosted by our team and designed as social entertainment formats to complement the dining experience.
All poker-related experiences, including hosted poker nights, poker-themed private events, and access to any poker tables within the venue, are strictly limited to guests aged 18 years and over. By participating in such experiences, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that you can present valid Australian-approved photo identification upon request.
We may refuse service, deny entry, or remove any guest who cannot verify their age, is intoxicated, behaves inappropriately, or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions or relevant Australian laws and responsible service guidelines.
5. Reservations, Bookings, and Cancellations
Acean Dashgrill welcomes both casual walk-ins and advance bookings. To help us maintain a seamless late-night dining and entertainment experience, we ask that all reservations and changes are made in good time.
5.1 Making a reservation
You may request a reservation or event booking via our Reservations and Contact Us pages, by phone, email, or through approved third-party booking platforms. All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until you receive a written confirmation from us (for example, an email booking confirmation or SMS, where applicable).
5.2 Minimum guest numbers and seating
Some services, such as private dining rooms, exclusive poker-themed private functions, or full venue hire, may be subject to minimum guest numbers or minimum spend requirements. These details will be communicated to you during the enquiry and confirmation process and will form part of your booking terms.
5.3 Deposits and payment
For certain reservations, particularly private events, large group bookings, and hosted poker-night packages, we may request a deposit or a valid payment card to secure your booking. Where applicable, the amount and due date of any deposit, as well as relevant payment terms, will be outlined in your booking correspondence.
By providing payment details or authorising a deposit, you confirm that you are permitted to use the relevant payment method and agree to any specific payment or cancellation conditions notified to you at the time of booking.
5.4 Changes and cancellations by guests
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must notify us as early as reasonably possible using the contact details provided in your confirmation. Specific notice periods, cancellation fees, or deposit forfeiture rules may apply to certain bookings and will be communicated to you when your reservation is made.
Where no specific policy has been set out, we may, at our discretion, charge a reasonable cancellation fee or retain part or all of a deposit if:
- you cancel or significantly reduce guest numbers with insufficient notice;
- your group fails to arrive (no-show); or
- we incur direct costs or loss of opportunity as a result of the change.
5.5 Changes and cancellations by the venue
While we will always use best endeavours to honour confirmed reservations, Acean Dashgrill reserves the right to amend, relocate, or cancel a booking where reasonably necessary, including for safety, operational, or legal reasons, or where events beyond our control occur (such as building issues, staff shortages, or government restrictions).
In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the details you have provided and may offer an alternative date, seating option, or experience. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability will be limited to the refund of any deposits paid or, where agreed, transfer of your booking to another suitable date.
6. Responsible Conduct and Safety
Acean Dashgrill is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests and staff. By attending the venue, you agree to conduct yourself responsibly and in accordance with the standards set out below and any relevant Australian hospitality and liquor statutes.
6.1 Dress code and behaviour
Guests are expected to follow our smart, evening-appropriate dress code and to behave respectfully towards staff and other patrons at all times. We may refuse entry or service, or request that a guest leave the venue, if their behaviour is offensive, disruptive, unsafe, or otherwise inconsistent with our standards.
6.2 Responsible service of alcohol
We operate in line with Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) obligations. Our team may refuse the sale or service of alcohol, or request that a guest leave the premises, if they are underage, cannot produce acceptable identification on request, appear intoxicated, or are behaving in a way that causes concern for themselves or others.
6.3 Poker nights and entertainment
Hosted poker evenings and poker-themed functions at Acean Dashgrill are designed as social entertainment experiences and are not conducted as online gambling or remote betting activities. Participation is strictly limited to guests aged 18 years and over and is always subject to house rules communicated by our hosts or dealers.
We expect all participants to treat hosts, dealers, and fellow guests with courtesy, to follow the instructions of staff, and to engage responsibly with any food and beverage service provided during the evening. We may pause, alter, or discontinue a poker-night format at any time where required for safety, fairness, or regulatory reasons.
6.4 Health, allergies, and safety
If you or your guests have any medical, dietary, or accessibility requirements, you must notify us ahead of your visit so we can discuss appropriate options. While we take care in the preparation of our food and beverages, we cannot guarantee that any dish or drink is entirely free from particular allergens. Guests with serious allergies or health considerations should exercise caution and seek advice from our team on the night.
7. Privacy and Data Use
We collect, use, and store personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law and our dedicated Privacy Policy.
